In 2007 , the ELCA churchwide assembly voted to embrace an initiative called the Book of Faith.  The bold vision for this initiative is:

Trust that the whole church become more fluent in the first language of faith, the language of Scripture, in order that we might live into our calling as a people renewed, enlivened, empowered, and sent by the Word.

To this end CELC regularly encourages Adult Bible Study through Sunday Morning Adult Sunday School, weekday and evening Special Studies, and special programs designed for men, women, and youth.

Check the Calendar and/ or Light of Christ each month and make a commitment to yourself to open up the Book of Faith on a regular basis and  shared with your fellow believers.
